The Table Coalition, formerly known as Mission America Coalition, exists to catalyze partnership within the American Church for the sake of evangelism.
We are the United States’ Committee for the global Lausanne Movement.
Established in 1993 (under the name Mission America Coalition) by Dr. Billy Graham, Dr. Bill Bright , and Dr. John Perkins, with Dr. Paul Cedar as the first CEO.
Headquartered in Minneapolis, MN.
Led by CEO Nick Hall and a diverse Board of Directors as well as hundreds of ministry partners across America.
We subscribe to The Lausanne Covenant statement of faith.
We value partnership within the Church, especially including the voices of under-represented demographics.
We follow a missional framework of Prayer, Care, Share.
OUR NAME
A table is a place to gather, listen, share, and be nourished. This is what the American Church needs.
There is something simple and powerful about a table as a symbol and as a literal gathering place. Tables make room for all kinds of people, and everyone has something to offer or receive. A table is a place to be fed—and then go out with strength.
OUR VISION
We want to see all generations of Americans invited to know Jesus.
The rising generation is increasingly missing from the Church. This diverse, action-oriented generation does not want to be “reached” or preached at; they long for authentic community and wholistic thinking. There are countless emerging young leaders whose perspectives and influence could dramatically strengthen the Church’s outreach to the next generation—and through it, the future of the American Church.
OUR PURPOSE
We exist to convene diverse leaders in the American Church to put gospel relationship into action that shares Jesus.
In Jesus, there are no lines between evangelism, prayer, justice, and discipleship—they are part of the same whole gospel. If we’re going to know Jesus more ourselves and invite more people to know him, we gain infinitely more by drawing together the collective strengths of the traditions of the Church.
OUR STRATEGY
We offer resources, training and action frameworks for national and local tables to work together on mission.
Jesus spent much of his ministry gathering people around him—and then sending them out on mission to share the Good News. This is the spirit of every effort of the Table Coalition. The table isn’t the end goal; it’s the starting place for gospel relationship in action.
OUR LEADERSHIP
We value partnership and raising up leaders in the next generation of the American Church.
In 2017, Nick Hall was appointed as President and CEO. As a leading next-generation voice in the cause of evangelism, Nick is strategically positioned to bring multiple generations and spheres of the Church together on shared mission.
